Personal Development and Community Animator Rocco Speranza and staff from Edward Murphy Elementary School in Hochelaga Maisonneuve organized a meaningful visit to the Montreal Holocaust Museum n November 18, for Grade 6 students.
This experience enabled the students to further learn, feel, relate and remember a significant period in world history and allowed them to reflect on the importance of peace, respect, unity inclusion, and diversity so as citizens they can help build an inclusive, and peaceful society.
About the Project
The objective of the EMSB Holocaust Education Program is to sensitize students and staff to the history of the Holocaust and acts of Antisemitism via special guests, lectures and visits to the Montreal Holocaust Museum and different exhibits and programming in the community.
